Company History
Cyclo-Index began in Cleveland, Ohio in 1965. It was founded by Martin J. Zugel, a former Senior Advanced Equipment Development Engineer with General Electric, and inventor of the original Cyclo-Index mechanism.

In 1983 Cyclo-Index was purchased by Leggett & Platt, Incorporated, a Fortune 500 company, and encouraged to expand both its product line and its national marketing. The goal of providing a highly-functional and reliable basic index drive for automation was broadened to include offering new types of indexing mechanisms, drive package components and complete turnkey systems.

Cyclo-Index relocated to Carthage, Missouri in 1988, and in August of 1994 moved into a new 100,000 square foot building specially built to house the engineering, research and development, and production facilities of the Cyclo-Index Division. A team of experienced engineers continue to develop new products, designs and systems today.
